Pearse Lyons Distillery is Dublin’s only independently, family owned distillery. Located in the former St James Church in the heart of Dublin’s Liberties.

Named after the late Dr. Pearse Lyons, founder and whiskey innovator, the distillery opened its doors in 2017.

One of the first piece I did in this series was ‘Adventure Awaits of Benbulben in Sligo. This may be seen as the sister piece as Knocknarea is Sligo’s second most famous mountain. It is a special place. It is steeped in ancient tradition and at it’s summit it houses Queen Maeve’s Cairn. Perched on the edge of the Atlantic, when you stand on this mountain, you can’t help but be filled with the sense of possibility.

The Powerscourt Distillery is set on the grounds of Powerscourt Estate in Enniskerry Co. Wicklow. It is a classic 3 pot still distillery, allowing Powerscourt to distil, malt and potstill whiskey.

Set on the banks of the River Boyne Trim Castle is an impressive sight. Long gone are the battles and now, her work complete, she rests quietly as a reminder of our resilient hearts

Lambay Island is set off the north county Dublin coastline. Like all islands, it is an evocative sight. It is a unique individual, confident to stand alone and shine. Perhaps it is their individuality and the fact that they stand there, removed from the crowd, that draws us to islands. There is something in that which reminds us to stand out and be secure in our our shiny uniqueness.
