Mark Twain is one of those people you'd love to have had over for dinner. He had a way of encapsulating great wisdom in a few words. Fran had this quote in his wallet for years but it was only when asked by a customer to do a print of it that this piece came to be. Initially the customer wanted the quote and this image but Fran felt it didn't work and drew this instead. It has gone on to become one of our most popular prints and is ideal for people starting a new chapter in life or facing change.
We love it and hope you do too.

In drawing this I wanted to capture a sense of the player and the instrument being a single entity. The two are inseparable and that’s where the magic comes from.
It strikes me that in life we only tap into the rhythm when we are one with our thoughts, words and our actions. When they are seamless, life happens more easily and in a rhythm that makes sense to us.
The piece was inspired by the great Martin Hayes who I could listen to all day long.
This is a perfect gift for anyone who plays music, loves the arts or simply loves life.
The focus of this range is to capture the essence of the subject with the minimal use of line. The one line pieces are, as the name suggests, drawn with a single
line, the pen or brush never leaving the paper., creating deceptively simple images.
A limited edition print from an original work by Francis Leavey.
Prints are named, signed and numbered.

Like many I was deeply saddened by the passing of Sinéad O’Connor. She has been part of the soundtrack of my life. This piece is in a sense a tribute to her influence on me and the world at large. I chose lyrics form her song Mandinka. The two lines in many ways encapsulate the defiant aspect of her character perfectly.
‘Sin é’ is Irish for ‘that’s it!
