I find there a lot of questions worth asking of myself. Am I doing the best I can? Am I trying hard enough? Am I on the right road? I could go on.

When it gets down to it though, the only question that really matters is this, 'Is the world a better place because I'm in it?' The world could be the world at large in which case I hope that my answer is a resounding 'YES' but it can also be those 'little worlds' that make up my life such as family, friends, work, interests etc. The question, however, remains the same.

Today, if I'm honest with myself, some of those smaller worlds are not better for having me in it. I guess I'm having a bad day. On the bright side it's early so I have the choice to get my shit together and improve the world around me as a result.

I sometimes fall into the trap of thinking I want/need to change the world but the truth is that I can only change myself. Nothing else. Nada! The upside is that if I can do that then I can indeed make the world a better place.
