Broadmeadow Estuary has always been my go to place when I needed to recharge, clear my mind and simply sit in the calm of early morning. My depiction is of the inner estuary which, o this day, remains one of my favourite places.

The Irish pub is truly at the heart of Irish culture. The beer may flow but it’s the tide of stories, songs and slagging that makes an Irish pub such a unique place. It’s not hard to understand why there are Irish bars in every corner of the world.

This image is of the iconic Temple Bar pub in the heart of Dublin City.

It’s hard to find yourself alone when you’re in one, whether you want to or not!

Bar 1661 opened its doors in 2019 and within a few short years (including being closed during the Covid pandemic) it was winner of Ireland's Bar of the Year 2022. Based in the heart of Dublin 7, it is named after the year Poitín as we know it was banned.

The ethos of owner Dave Mulligan is deeply rooted in the promotion of Irish Poitín through cocktail culture. Well worth a visit.

The Irish landscape is quilted in a rich tapestry of beautiful flowers. The colours are as rich and as varied as the people who inhabit the island.

No-one has to tell a flower to bloom. It just does. Likewise, we don't permission form anyone to burst into full blossom. Worth remembering that!
