The great Oscar Wilde said, 'Be yourself : everyone else is already taken'. In essence that's what this print is all about. Being yourself simply means accepting who we are and what we like, without fear of ridicule. On paper that sounds easy but it can be quite a challenge to have the self confidence to follow your heart and your instincts. There's always pressure to conform to others idea of how and what you should be but as Oscar said .... The reality is, you're perfect the way you are!
There's two ways of looking at our lives. We can see ourselves as this small little boat bobbing up and down on the huge ocean. I imagine that perspective is daunting especially if you have dreams and aspirations. The other way to look at is that we are in our little boat but we have this expansive ocean in which to roam. Endless possibility and choice that we can only begin to imagine. So if that's you in the little boat, we hope this helps you see the myriad possibilities that you can achieve.

Is there a greater gift to give to a child than self-belief? No. If a child can grow up believing in themselves, it opens up a world of possibility for them. Chances are they will also believe in those around them. Let’s make the magic last as long as possible and encourage the young, playful minds that will shape the world in years to come.

This print started life out very differently. It was a sketch called 'I Will Find You' with squares instead of hearts. There's a blog post about it here. Ah but life changed and so did the piece and title. This is one of Fran's personal favourites and we hope you like it as much as we do. We also hope you find them if you haven't already.
Mark Twain is one of those people you'd love to have had over for dinner. He had a way of encapsulating great wisdom in a few words. Fran had this quote in his wallet for years but it was only when asked by a customer to do a print of it that this piece came to be. Initially the customer wanted the quote and this image but Fran felt it didn't work and drew this instead. It has gone on to become one of our most popular prints and is ideal for people starting a new chapter in life or facing change.
