This is a one off original Monoprint. 

Like many I was deeply saddened by the passing of Sinéad O’Connor. She has been part of the soundtrack of my life. This piece is in a sense a tribute to her influence on me and the world at large. I chose lyrics form her song Mandinka. The two lines in many ways encapsulate the defiant aspect of her character perfectly.

‘Sin é’ is Irish for ‘that’s it.

There is a wanderlust in the Irish heart and our influence and presence can be found in all corners of the world. It doesn't matter where we go or for how long, it's impossible not to take our homeland and our loved ones with us.

This painting was started abroad at a time when I longed for the Irish countryside.
