Part of the Horizons series which expands on my Inspired By Ireland series of paintings. A focus on highlighting the colours of native fauna within the landscape.

”In this series I focus on the native flowers and fauna which are found in a specific area. These colours become the basis for my palette and the predominant greens are pushed back in an effort to amplify what is unique to that specific location.”

This card  always makes us smile, The text is actually the first two lines of the famous Clement Clarke Moore poem 'A Visit from St. Nicholas'. It's probably more commonly known as 'Twas The Night Before Christmas'.

Twas a funny card to make.

Designed by renowned architect James Gandon, O’Connell Bridge was built between 1791 and 1794. It is the only traffic bridge in Europe that is wider than it is long. No matter the number of bridges that adorn the River Liffey, O’Connell Bridge is still at the very heart of the city and its people.

This piece is part of our 'Inspired by Ireland' series.

This painting is inspired by  Irish woodlands. I Am drawn to woodlands and forests and always find myself captivated but the light as it finds its way through the foliage and labyrinth of branches and trunks. There is something magical about it and as the seasons change so does the nature of light. This winter scene is drawn from a regular walk through Malahide Castle grounds.

Glendalough is such a beautiful place. It is hard to describe. How can words truly describe the feeling a place evokes? Nestled in its valley in the Wicklow mountains it is a deeply moving place to find yourself. The monastic site is surrounded by such serene beauty that one cannot help but feel at peace.
